Rawidowicz, Simon

Rawidowicz, Simon
(1897-1957)
   American philos-opher, of Polish origin. He taught at Leeds University (1941-7), the Chicago College of Jewish Studies (1948-51) and Brandeis University (1951-7). He published studies of philosophical thinkers and subjects, as well as works on contemporary Jewish topics. From 1927 to 1930 he was co-editor of the scholarly journal Ha-Tekuphah; he was also editor of the scholarly and literary journal Metzudah, and a founder of Berit Ivrit Olamit.
